Hvedshøj Burial Mound
| Address | Hvedstrupvej 60 4000 Roskilde |
Just south east of the road from Himmelev about a kilometre before you get to Hvedstrup lies one of the biggest burial mounds in the County of Roskilde, Hvedshøj.
It is the burial place of a squire from the Bronze Age built about 1.400 BC. During excavations in 1862 a bronze sword coated in gold was found.
The County of Roskilde has put up a notice board. Access to the mound. From the top there is an impressive view.
