The permanent exhibition of the museum shows 5 Vikingships from the 11th century. The ships were excavated and preserved during the period 1962-1969. Moreover, the exhibition tells about the Viking period, shipbuilding, underwater archaeology etc. Every year special exhibitions with changing themes.
