At Lejre Research Centre we contribute to knowledge of crafts, agriculture, buildings and nature of the past by carrying out practical and hands on experiments. Right in the centre of the beautiful nature of Mid Zealand you find a reconstructed Iron Age village inhabited by "ancient families" during the summer. Ancient crafts are copied in the weaving studio, pottery and smithy. A guided tour can include a visit to the 19th-century farmer“s cottage. Plenty of activities for a full day“s visit.
