
St. Hans Hospital Museum for groups
St. Hans Hospital is the oldest psychiatric hospital in Denmark, since 1816 situated close to Roskilde Fjord. The exhibitions in Kurhuset illustrate the history of the hospital, the furniture of the wards, straitjacket and chair, and therapy equipment. A unique collection of psychopathologic art consisting of paintings, drawings and sculptures mainly made by schizophrenic patients.
Guided tours can be arranged. Dkk 500.
